This bread is made with 100% white spelt flour, and contains sunflower seeds and small quantities of local honey & good quality olive oil. It is a freestanding loaf with a lovely rich, nutty flavour. Like all our bread, it is made with a very small quantity of yeast, thereby developing more complex flavours through a longer fermentation process.

Spelt flour is made from an ancient grain which is an ancestor of the modern wheat that is widely used today. It contains less gluten that conventional wheat. It is worth noting that many people who find that conventional, supermarket bread disagrees with them or believe they may have an 'intolerance' to gluten find that spelt breads do not have the same effect.

Ingredients: white spelt flour, water, honey, yeast, cold pressed rapeseed oil, sunflower seeds, salt. Allergens in bold.

This bread is available in small (400g) or large (800g) sized loaves.
