This is a 100% sourdough bread. This means that it contains no added yeast but is leavened by the addition of a 'starter' or 'leaven'- a mixture of bread flour & water which attracts natural yeasts from the environment & creates a gentle fermentation culture.

This loaf is made with amazing locally produced raw buttermilk. It is a real joy to have such a premium ingredient being produced right on our doorstep & it gives a really interesting, strong yet soft texture to the crumb of this loaf as well as imparting a definite hint of buttermilk sourness to the taste. 

Ingredients: white wheat flour, raw buttermilk, water, leaven (white wheat flour, water), salt. Allergens in bold.

This bread is available in small (400g) or large (800g) sized loaves.
